Pres. Amirmahdi Khamisipour and his cabinet are currently drafting a new constitution to transition away from the era of an interim government, and to clarify a lot of laws to combat misunderstandings.
“Last constitution was too superficial and light”
told President Khamisipour the SussianReport on wednesday. The new constitution will clarify the rights of the individual and introduce two new governmental institutions called the “National Assembly” which will be the legislature and the “Constitutional Court” which will observe and watch elections.
